Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Hardware Products

Responsibilities

• Own mechanical architecture, design, and validation of hardware products
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, drawings, GD&T, and BOMs using SolidWorks and/or CATIA
• Lead tool design and development including vendor coordination
• Perform and interpret FEA simulations (structural, thermal, vibration)
• Drive DFM, DFA, tolerance stack-ups, and DFMEA
• Support prototyping, pilot builds, and mass production
• Collaborate with electronics, quality, and manufacturing teams
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s/Master's degree in mechanical engineering or PhD
  • Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and/or CATIA 
  • Hands-on experience in tooling and manufacturing processes 
  • Working knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS / SolidWorks Simulation) 
  • Strong understanding of materials and GD&T
